This spot is near Paredes Line Rd [FM 1847] and Fernando East Rd. This was terminus is of a branch that ran from Rio Hondo ran to a farming area near Fernando TX. It was built during the 1920s and was abandoned prior to the 1940s. It had a short and sharp wye near the end of the line for the turning of small steam engines. The line ended in front of the remains of a roof from a farm barn and or shed. This view looks west. |
